Sunshine & Stitches: New Crochet Patterns You'll Love!

Published about 1 year ago • 2 min read

Hi Reader,

Now that it's almost May (can you believe it?), I've been daydreaming about sunshine, warmer temperatures, and of course, planning some summer projects. I was sipping an iced coffee and rummaging through my yarn stash this morning, wondering what to knit or crochet during these warm weather months.

I mean, seriously, how many of us are still cranking out scarves and mittens in May? I'm curious - can you still find the motivation to work on cold-weather projects in the heat, or do you switch things up and make different types of projects?

As for me, I love to knit socks all year long, even in the summer heat. Why, you ask? Well, for starters, the portability of sock projects is unbeatable. Whether we're hanging out in the backyard or chilling by the pool, I can always work on a sock. Plus, experimenting with different stitch patterns and yarns keeps things fresh and exciting!

Speaking of fresh ideas, I'm thrilled to share some new articles we've added to the blog this week!

Hey there, Reader, You know how some folks say, “My eyes are bigger than my stomach” when they’ve piled on too much food on their plates? Well, I have a similar story to tell… but with yarn! Last week, I thought it would be a good idea to start a great big granny square blanket project. In my mind, I could see it - a stunning, kaleidoscopic blanket for my daughter’s new big-girl bed. “A week tops,” I told myself, while lugging home a giant bag of yarn. Well, it’s been seven days, and guess...

Hey there, Reader! Just the other day, I was helping my friend navigate her first-ever crochet amigurumi pattern. She was armed with a crochet hook and this unstoppable enthusiasm, but the pattern was a complete mystery to her. Who can blame her? Between all the * and ( ), we might as well be reading secret code! Well, long story short, it inspired me to write a brand new article just for you: "Your Ultimate Guide to Crochet Terms and Abbreviations". It's like a decoder ring for your yarn...
